The Law of Karma
'As you sow, so shall you reap' is the principle behind the law of karma. In the past, karma was interpreted as meaning that all suffering was the result of some previous wrongdoing. The idea that karma is God's punitive sytem is changing to the belief that it is we who are the judge and jury; inside each of us there is an inner scale of justice monitoring our integrity. It is we who are always trying to balance the scales, instead of a stern deity judging us.
We create not only our reality, but our karma as well. The extent to which you can shift your core beliefs about yourself and the world around you is the extent to which you can step beyond karma.
A belief in reincarnation is not necessary to receive practical value. From an astrologer's point of view the moment of our births was not an accident. We are not a victim of our birthcharts, and it is not a matter beyond our control. We are always the captain of our own ship. The chart is a scientific picture of the life that one's soul has chosen to process for its own growth and completion.
